the body in HTML is a element (which is an element with its own style, its own content etc) and so it has no siblings.
That means that any innerHTML you add, won’t be inserted into the DOM.
Also, the body is a DOM Node of type Element, not of type Document, so you should use document.body.appendChild(…) to add an element to it.
Use document.body.appendChild(…), and your code should work.
